Keep dismissals defensible. Answer a tribunal claim in time.
For employers with no HR department, and for the HR consultants and accountants they call first.
Start a dismissal file
Step-by-step letters and dates in the Acas Code order. You send the letters yourself.
Respond to an ET1
Upload the claim, the tribunal's letter, the contract and your emails. You get a draft ET3 grounds of resistance, a chronology, a counter-schedule and a list of what's missing — every point tied to a page. You check it and file it yourself on gov.uk.
Test mode
Black out the employee's name, address, date of birth and National Insurance number before uploading. Files are read in your browser and deleted 30 days after the case is closed. We are not lawyers, do not assess your chances and do not tell you whether to dismiss anyone.
What this does not do
- It never files anything. You complete the ET3 and submit it yourself at respond-employment-tribunals.service.gov.uk, and you press the button.
- It never writes to the tribunal, to Acas or to the claimant on your behalf.
- It does not predict the outcome, compare your case with others or tell you what to offer.
- For discrimination and whistleblowing claims it still produces the draft, and tells you plainly to take it to a solicitor.
